Music helps me be a better IRONMAN. Each year, I collect music to inspire, motivate and fire me up. Obviously, this year is loaded with U2 and the Grateful Dead. Both are a HUGE part of my music library and this year, both have sentimental value. I was able to see U2 in concert at Madison Square Garden - twice! Plus, this is the 50th Anniversary of the Dead and Ace and I watched all three nights of the Fare Thee Well shows (in HD in the comfort of our living room).

Today I'm listening to:

Out of Control - U2 My new favorite. Along with Bullet the Blue Sky. Neither are new but hit me hard at the show and I've been mashing them up ever since.

Vertigo - U2: This one has been on the playlist since 2012's B2B half. It reminds of the Isabelle Holmes bridge and the finish of the B2B bike. The bridge, with it's climb and crazy grates are in the last two miles of the ride and whether you're at mile 55 or mile 110, it'll make you dizzy and determined.  Dirty Spice sings it all the time. It was also amazing to see a guy wearing a tee shirt that read: HELLO HELLO as we were riding our CitiBikes across the Brooklyn Bridge.
