I admit it. My swim was NOT a quality swim. But it was a fun one. Mainly because there were popsicles involved. Oh, and we could see the Empire State Building from the pool deck.
On Wednesday afternoon, between our tour of Madison Square Garden and the first U2 show at MSG, we decided to take a dip in our rooftop pool. Naturally, we were the only ones who were in the water. Everyone else was sunning or sipping cocktails or napping.

We spent about 20 minutes doing what I'll label drill work. We raced 15 yards at a time doing drills: doggie paddling, sculling with toes up forward, then backward; side stroking; underwater no breathing; maybe breast stroke. We even did a handstand race that made us look like true idiots.
We were rewarded for all our hard work with popsicles from the cabana girl. I had lemon and Dirty Spice had mango. Dee-light-ful. [Why can't our coaches serve popsicles after practice?] We people-watched for a while and then left for a quick nap and SHOWTIME.
